Contact the BSN
The BSN is a charitable association that offers support to English speaking residents in France when someone has died. We also offer the same services to those who are terminally ill, or to those caring for them. We are not professional therapists; we are fully trained grief supporters who are also trained Active Empathic Listeners.
If you are looking for immediate guidance, our Practical Information Hub provides comprehensive support on the administrative and legal requirements in France. You may find the following guides particularly helpful:
- What to do when someone dies in France – A step-by-step guide to the immediate requirements and legal procedures.
- Arranging a funeral in France – Information on local regulations, timelines, and logistical arrangements.
- Putting your affairs in order – Tips on organising documentation and succession preparations for the future.
As well as information, we offer emotional support through 8 one-hour sessions via phone or video with a volunteer.
