Thinking of becoming a volunteer ?

  • Are you English Speaking, living in France?
  • Have you experienced substantial  loss yourself?
  • Are you a good listener? Empathic and non-judgmental?

All volunteers receive initial and ongoing
training and direct supervision.

All BSN volunteers have been bereaved themselves. They have experienced the pain and sorrow of losing a loved one. They also know how rewarding it can be to support those going through this most difficult of times.

Volunteers personally understand the added layers of difficulty when grieving in a foreign land. They also know how rewarding it can be to support those through this most difficult time

Not interested in working  directly with clients? That’s fine, too. We also need volunteers to help with administrative and organisational tasks that keep us running smoothly. Apply now!

Volunteering can be very rewarding

“Being part of this support work reminds me that making a difference doesn’t require perfection – just presence.”

Leah – BSN Volunteer

“When clients share their personal stories of loss and their feelings of grief, it is a real privilege to listen. It’s an honour to walk alongside them, even if only for a small part of their journey

Elizabeth – BSN Volunteer

“Time spent listening and empathising with a person who is grieving, is time I gladly offer”
